I’ll be straight forward with you: less calories doesn’t mean you will lose more body fat. In fact, if you live in a constant state of under-eating, you’re slowing down your metabolism. How? Well, your body thinks it’s “starving” and maintains subcutaneous fat because there’s an energy shortage.
On top of that, you’re not eating enough to support maintenance or growth of lean muscle mass AND depriving your body from vital nutrients.
We need food to live, for all of our necessary bodily systems to function AND to reach our goals.
You are only sabotaging your progress by continuing to diet, binge, diet, binge. Eliminating foods completely from your diet is helpful when you are following medical advice for a condition, but swearing off all baked goods and chocolate only means that you’re going to CRAVE baked goods and chocolate.
Yo-Yo dieting needs to stop! Preserve your body AND mind by honoring it, feeding it and LOVING it. Allow yourself some small pleasures, eat in a way that is sustainable and watch your progress continue.
